(for Amy M-K)
I wake into giving thoughts,
day already blooming for me
(if I am ready to receive
it without hesitation)
I rise into givens, catching
as much as possible with mitts
(protecting my hands, hands shielding
my heart, eyes closed, peeking)
I will, I promise daily, learn
to receive Light bare handed
(and uncover my heart, and
worship with eyes open)
learn to recieve light barehanded...how cool is that.....eyes open, just as we make love...so we are honoring the one we are with and not the one we are dreaming of...smiles.

ReplyDeletea wonderful promise..
Excellent imagery here, Susan.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Receiving the day and what comes with it, that is a testament to faith. To receive it without hesitation. Something I try to do everyday, but it isn't always easy. Regards.
ReplyDeleteAwareness is a beginning. Thank you for this fine comment.
DeleteWOW! 'Worshiping with eyes'....sounds delightful, Susan.Lovely...
ReplyDeleteI tend to think light energy needs a bare head to receive it, rather than bare hands? I reckon it beams straight down our centre line...
ReplyDeleteNice! Thank you! I like the idea that centering is part of receiving. For some faiths, many prayers a day with a covered head to honor God.
DeleteLearn to receive light - what a powerful thought Susan. Thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful every day for the light - it was the topic today at the church where my granddaughter got baptized. I began to think about the inherent metaphors we humans have given to day/ night - dark/light and how it frames our thoughts, ideas and actions, even our faith. Well said.
ReplyDeleteEspecially our faith. Thank you, Beachanny, for this sharing.
